As the year draws to a close, we have a few updates for the last few weeks of 2019, and some things to get us started for 2020!
First off, a big congratulations to those students that tested this past weekend. We are so proud of everyone that tested, and want to give a special shout out to Sensei Pete Maskiell, who tested for his Nidan (second degree black belt)! In addition we want to congratulate the 3 students who passed their test for Shodan Ho (probationary black belt)!
Our next testing session will be on Saturday, January 25th, so block off that time and keep an eye on your mailbox, because anyone who didn't make it to this last session may be invited!
Next up we will be closed for the following Tuesdays and Wednesdays:
December 24th and 25th
December 31st and January 1st
On Saturday, January 11th from 10am-5pm the dojo will be holding a “Gasshuku” (special training day) for all black belts, as well as Black Belt Club members, and any student with at least 1 year of training. We will be standardizing all of our basic forms, as well as teaching some advanced kata. There will be a nominal fee. Stay tuned for additional details.
