Letter From Shihan (concerning COVID-19)
Hello dojo members and families,
I appreciate the concerns our community is expressing concerning the Corona virus (COVID-19). We are taking precautions at the school and in our personal lives to maintain a safe environment. We are monitoring news of the virus, relying on information from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Yesterday, Coach Alan and I cleaned the dojo according to the standards set forth by the CDC, and will continue to clean all high-touch areas: counters, door handles, door jams, bathrooms, striking targets, heavy bags, hand held pads, and flooring.
As another preventative measure, we require all students to sanitize their hands before and after each class. (Please let your student know that we will deny access to the training space if they refuse to sanitize their hands properly).
The most important thing that we can do aside from utilizing impeccable hygiene routines is to STAY HOME if you or someone in your home is sick.
We realize that consistent attendance is key to progress in Martial Arts. We can help you choose a suitable makeup class if you or your student misses class.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. If you/your student must miss class for any reason, let us know as soon as possible so we are aware of your circumstance.
Stay well, and see you at the dojo!
